Vegetable oil obtained by pressing the fruit of the olive tree (olives). It produces a mild and creamy lather and is ideal for sensitive skin.

Essential oil extracted through steam distillation of the mint leaves. Products which contain peppermint oil leave a refreshing, cooling sensation when applied on the skin. Products with menthol should not be used on small children.
Cedarwood Atlas oil is a member of the Pinaceae family. This oil has a fresh, woody and slightly sweet scent. Grounding and calming, cedarwood is used in aromatherapy to combat feelings of negativity. Its uplifting qualities are known to treat nervous tension, anxiety and tiredness, as well as to aid focus. For men, it is considered and aphrodisiac!
Native to the Mediterranean, alkanet is a herbaceous plant that is a member of the borage family. It has bright blue flowers and a dark red root. The dried root is infused in olive oil which then imparts a natural dusky purple tone to natural soaps.
Madder is a perennial herbaceous plant which is a member of the coffee family. Native to the Mediterranean, the root has been used for centuries to impart orange and red tones. Indeed, fabrics dyed with madder root have been discovered in archeological sites dating back to ancient India and Egypt.
A 100% purified, sun-dried and finely ground clay of superior quality, which is free of additives. Kaolin contains phyto-nutrients that are known to protect and nourish the skin. Often used in face masks to gently remove impurities from the skin and to improve circulation.

Shea butter is made by cold pressing the seeds of the African Karite tree. It is valued in soap making because of its skin conditioning properties. It also adds a little hardness to the finished soap bars.
